How to feed sheets with aperture or window cut outs
Feeding a flat sheet with apertures or window cut outs can prove to be impossible as the top sheet will catch on the one below as it leaves the feeder. In order to simplify the explanation on how to avoid this I will describe the remedy for a pile feeder (not continuous).
Before loading the sheets, temporarily fix a strip of stitching wire for each aperture somewhere on the loading table. Thread the wire through each handful as you stack the sheets. When the stack is finished each wire must protrude from each aperture by at least 3
inches.
Now kink the wire slightly upward and notice how the top sheet jumps over the one below it during production, thus avoiding any chance of hindrance. As the stack gets higher the wire will need to be pulled back accordingly, so a little effort will be required but at least this guarantees uninterrupted production.
This method can be applied to continuous feeders, although it may be better to call us for this explanation.
This easy to follow tip can enable you to avoid the outsourcing of one or two wallets or folders to hand finishers.
